Life has been shifting and changing a lot lately. It's been simultaneously beautiful and chaotic. I just said goodbye to Washington, DC - the place I've called home since graduating from college in May of 2015 - and now preparing for the nomad lifestyle.
I'm going to miss DC a ton. I really feel like I grew tremendously as a person, becoming a much better version of myself in the process, and made lifelong friends who truly inspired me to live my most creative life. Here's a recap video of just a few of my favorite memories in The District:
Packing a suitcase for an indefinite amount of time is pretty surreal especially considering the amount of clothes I know. Speaking of, if anyone needs any clothes - I got you covered.
This adventure that lies ahead is uncertain and amazing, but will not be a flawless experience. Just like anything in life, traveling comes with unexpected twists and obstacles. But it's so exciting. I always love this part of the adventure - the beginning. You have no freaking clue the amazing times that lie before you and can only dream of what's to come.
I think my biggest goal for this next phase of my journey is to truly live in the moment - to let life happen. My last few months in DC were spent planning and preparing for the beginning of what's next. Now it's time to live it. That's so hard, isn't it? We're always looking to what's next that we forget to be present. I don't want to live that way anymore - at least not for now. Planning has it's place in our lives, but for me, it's not time for that.
So I'm heading to Europe for a bit. My grandmother and I will be going to four countries (Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Spain) doing a combination of exploring, relaxing, and spending time with family. We're both really excited for this time to share together and to see new places (neither of us have been to Norway or Sweden). We'll be staying fairly busy as I'll be making vlogs, keeping up with the YouTubes, and shooting a little mini-documentary about my grandmother's life growing up in a Post-WWII Germany.
If you haven't noticed, all my socials have a new look. It's been insanely fun working on this redesign and dreaming up the future of my blog and YouTube channel. Thank you for dreaming with me and being an integral part of my journey.
See you on the other side of the world.
